Garden of Dreams
April 9, 2022
Just a delightful 5 to 8-minute stroll (approximately 400-600 meters) from the Grand Yak Boutique Hotel, the Garden of Dreams offers a serene escape from the city’s lively pace. This beautifully restored neo-classical garden, originally built in the early 20th century by Kaiser Shumsher Rana, is a tranquil oasis. Visitors can wander along its paved perimeter walkways, admire the elegant pavilions (each once representing one of Nepal’s six seasons), and relax by the shimmering lotus ponds and soothing fountains. Its European-inspired architecture blends seamlessly with the lush subtropical flora, providing a picturesque setting for quiet contemplation, a leisurely read, or a peaceful break amidst the vibrant urban environment of Kathmandu.
